Sea-view Trekking and Hiking
In the Dianese Gulf, you can go from sea level to 1,000 meters in just 8 km. A network of ancient trails, including the historic Salt Roads, crosses hills, forests, and breathtaking views. Every week we organize guided hikes with environmental guide Luca Patelli: routes for all levels, up to Monte Saccarello, the highest peak in Liguria, where on clear days you can see Corsica and hear the call of eagles.
MTB and Enduro Trails
If you love mountain biking, the trails of the Dianese Gulf await with scenic routes, technical paths, rocky sections, and natural jumps. At reception, we can put you in touch with MTB guides and shuttle/lift services.
Road Cycling: on the route of the Milano-Sanremo
Riding along the classic Milano-Sanremo is a dream for every road cyclist. From the Ligurian Sea coast, a few turns will take you up into the inland valleys, among pine forests and ridges, with elevation changes for every training level.
Scenic Golf Between Sea and Hills
Just minutes from the hotel lies the renowned Garlenda Golf Club, a few kilometers from Albenga. Other nearby courses include Castellaro Golf Resort and the Circolo Golf degli Ulivi in Sanremo.
Horseback Riding
Set off on a horseback ride through olive groves and the inland villages of Liguria. Several stables and riding centers around San Bartolomeo al Mare offer excursions for adults and children, even beginners.
Canyoning through Gorges and Streams
About an hour from the hotel, you can try canyoning in the Santa Lucia stream: a descent through waterfalls and rocks lasting between two and four hours. Other thrilling routes include the Rio Maglia, the Argentina stream, the Rio Infernetto in Realdo, and the Rio Passetto in Mendatica. For the more experienced, there's also the Buggio Gorges and the Rio Prialunga in Varazze.
Climbing
Climbing enthusiasts can quickly reach the cliffs of Loreto in Triora and those of Finale Ligure, one of Italy's sport climbing capitals, with hundreds of equipped routes.
Swimming in the Sea and Pool
Hotel Caravelle offers guests a 15-meter-long seawater swimming pool. In front of the hotel, breakwaters create a protected open-sea area 700 meters long: the ideal place to swim safely, with reduced waves.
Tennis and Paddle
